The Human Problem…

We are all flawed people. In small ways or big, every day we fail ourselves, our loved ones and ultimately, God who created us to be perfect like Him.  This is what we call sin.  Our sins burden us with guilt, because deep down we know that the wrongs we have done deserve a punishment.

The Bible teaches us that the just punishment for our sin is death and eternal separation from God. But we can’t get rid of our sin or guilt on our own, no matter how hard we try.

… God’s Solution

Though we sin against Him, God still loves us with all His heart.  He does not want us to face the punishment we deserve.  So He came up with a plan to forgive our sin and remove our guilt by sending His Son to be our Savior.

By living the perfect life that we can’t live, and by dying the death that we deserve to die, Jesus paid the price for all the times we have failed.  And when He rose from death, that was God’s way of telling us that our sins have been wiped out, that we are saved through Him alone.

Through faith in Jesus, we are children of God and heirs of Heaven, and we are now empowered to live a new guilt-free life that shows and tells the love of God to others.

What We Believe mid.jpg
  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error, the true and trustworthy source and authority for our faith and life.  Therefore, everything we believe, teach, and confess will be based only on the Bible.

  •  There is one God, and He has revealed Himself in the Bible as three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – in one being.

  •  All people have sinned against God and deserve death and eternal separation from Him.

  •  All people are saved by God’s grace alone, not by good works, but only through faith in Jesus.

  •  God freely gives us the forgiveness of sins, faith, eternal life, and salvation through the Gospel. The Gospel is the good news of God’s love for us proclaimed in His Word, and promised to us also through Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

If you want to learn more about what we believe, please contact us.  We would love the opportunity to answer your questions and to share and explain the teachings of the Bible.  Above all else, we want to share with you the certainty of salvation in Jesus.

We want you to know that “through Jesus, the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you” (Acts 13:38) – yes, to YOU!

Christ Our Redeemer is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

WELS is a group of nearly 1300 congregations across the United States and Canada, as well as gospel outreach ministries in 40 countries around the world. This affiliation is important to us because it helps us stay faithful to the Bible’s teachings, and it gives us ministry opportunities and access to resources that we could not have on our own.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
— John 3:16
